The PEER Center team presented at the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program Grantees Meeting on August 26, 2008 and at the US Conference on AIDS on September 20, 2008. 

  • At the 2008 Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program Grantee Meeting and 11th Clinical Update in Washington, D.C. August 25th-28th, the PEER Center conducted an institute on the topics outlined below.
    • Integrating peers into the care team [Washington 3, Room D, Tuesday August 26th from 10-11:30am]
    • My organization is ready to start a peer support program. Where to begin? [Washington 3, Room E, Tuesday August 26th from 1:30-3pm]

  • At the US Conference on AIDS, the PEER Center team presented a 3-hour seminar entitled "Building the capacity of HIV peer educators to be part of the health care team"

  • The PEER Center's Evaluation Working Group also made a presentation entitled "Examination of Peer Advocates in HIV/AIDS Care and Treatment" at the American Evaluation Association conference in Colorado in November.
